For my sound effects I am making: Bats Flying: I am going to use an umbrella to simulate the sounds of bats flying. I can do this at home. Chainmail: I am going to use keys to simulate the sound of chainmail moving. I can make this sound at home. Explosion Debris: To simulate the sound of debris falling and moving after an explosion I am going to use a cardboard box filled with junk. I will then hit the box with a hammer to simulate the movement of the debris. I can do this with supplies from home. Gore: To make the sound of gore and guts being ripped out. I can use eggs and fruits to make a goo in a bowl, then I can dip rags in the goop and jostle it around to simulate the sound. I can make this sound at my home.

The three websites I checked out were: 1. Design of the World 2. Inspiration Grid 3. The Design Inspiration Illustrations by Dániel Taylor My first example are illustrations by the Hungarian artist Dániel Taylor. I like these art pieces because they are very whimsical and surreal. They don't take a very realistic approach, which is a trait that I enjoy because it's fun to be transported to a world that is not your own. The artist has a very good understanding of contrast and how to use it to make the piece stand out. Concept Art by Artur Sadlos  My second example is concept art that was illustrated by the Tokyo-based concept artist, Artur Sadlos. This artist makes concepts for video games, film, and animations, which are all things I am very interested in so it's cool to see the artwork that is behind them. The artist is very talented at drawing terrain and is also very good at depicting size, as a lot of his pieces include monsters that are the height of skyscra...

Balance/Contrast: The focus of the image (The man and the smoke) are set up on the right side of the album cover. This is balanced by the city in the background and the text that is on the left side of the cover. The image is set in grayscale, but the smoke off the man's cigarette is filled with vibrant colours. Emphasis/Alignment: The title of the album and the band name is smaller, making it easier to focus on the main subject of the cover; the man and the colourful smoke. The smoke being the only thing in colour helps put emphasis that it is part of the focus of the image. Rhythm/Repetition: The entire image is in flat, grayscale colour, keeping with a rhythm of not being too dark, but not too light either. Even the words are simply black. The variation in the rhythm comes from the smoke, which is colored but is separated from the grayscale by the white background. Pexels Pexels is a very efficient search engine that can show you hundreds of different public domain images. The website is very easy to use, as all it takes to use it is to search keywords for the type of image you need. From the images I've seen on the website, they are very good quality, as opposed to some of the lower quality stuff you see. Another good thing about the website is that on each image they clearly state what kind of license is on the image. This is useful because there is no confusion on what you can do with each image. Creative Commons The creative commons search engine is very useful. The search engine has a lot of options to narrow your search, and you can also specify whether you are going to modify the image or not. This is very useful because you are not at any risk for accidentally causing trouble with the content creator.
